Depending on your needs, I can focus on one area or do a mix of the above subjects.
I can focus on one or both of these areas, depending on the requirements of the grammar school.
This can be Level 1 or Level 2.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, I had to quickly learn how to offer effective tuition online. This has been a tremendous success and I now offer this as an option to all clients. The platform I use to carry out sessions is Zoom and the hourly cost is the same as if we were face to face.
I have been a Primary and Secondary teacher for over 20 years; working in both State and Independent schools.
Although I have taught a wide range of subjects, maths is my specialism. I have a Maths degree and have taught Maths up to GCSE level.
I have always loved teaching and working with children to help them to achieve their full potential. My aim is to help children develop their confidence as well as their basic skills. They can then build on these skills, apply them to more difficult problems and implement them in real life situations.
I really enjoy seeing children thrive with school work and I support them with the next stage of their education.
Because every child is different, I use a variety of teaching methods; adapting each session to meet the needs of the child and using a flexible approach to learning.
I tutor KS1 and KS2 children in Numeracy and Literacy, KS3 Maths, maths functional skills and prepare children for 11+ examinations in North and North East Lincolnshire as well as Lincolnshire and Hull.
Hi, I am Selina. I have been a teacher for almost 20 years, educational leader for over 10 years and trained coach for over 5 years. However, I have been devotedly curious my entire life with an unfailing belief that children can achieve whatever they can perceive and for whatever they can’t perceive I can help them dream bigger or more colourful.
I feel strongly about giving every child every chance to succeed in whatever way possible. I have seen first-hand that when people fall in love with what they are learning about or learning to do, they are more successful. During one to one sessions I can quickly assess exactly what a child needs in order to achieve and then use a range of different strategies to help them get there quickly.
In all honesty, my specialism is learning and the core elements needed to promote deep understanding with rich and interconnected links. What this means for the pupils I tutor is an individualised approach to help any learner at any stage whether it be early acquisition of number or language, right up to GCSE. My aim is to help my students take responsibility for fostering a love of learning for life and fortunately passing exams is a delightful outcome!
As a coach I am trained to listen holistically to people. What they say both verbally and non-verbally. I feel strongly about children having a voice and a secure sense of self – being ok with who they are! Through one to one tutoring with coaching included I can give the people I’m with the optimum conditions for academic and emotional growth.
Hi, I'm Aimèe. I am an experienced Senior Leader and Key Stage One teacher based in North East Lincolnshire. I am also a Literacy Specialist for the English Hub working across Yorkshire and the Humber costal schools.
I have worked across the whole of the primary range and my specialities include early literacy.
Helping children to read, develop a passion for reading and apply that in their spoken vocabulary and writing. I have a comprehensive range of experience in delivering phonics programmes.
My philosophy for teaching is firmly underpinned by my belief that no two children learn in the same way therefore, I tailor all of my teaching to suit the individual needs. I whole heartedly believe that learning should be fun but challenging and ensure all of my pupils reach their full potential regardless of any barriers to learning they may have.
I tutor KS1 and Lower KS2 children in Numeracy and Literacy. North and North East Lincolnshire can be covered face to face however sessions can also be delivered virtually.
I am an enthusiastic and nurturing teacher who thrives on inspiring and developing learners to succeed to the very best of their ability. I believe in tailoring learning to the needs and interests of the individual in order to engage them and support them to thrive.
I joined the teaching profession to make a positive impact on children's learning; increase their desire to learn and enable them to become independent life-long learners. I have been teaching in primary schools in North East Lincolnshire for 14 years, predominantly in Year 6 and working with Year 7 to ensure a smooth transition into secondary school.
I tutor Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 and preparation for 11+ exams. As well as supporting young people academically, I am passionate about helping to develop confidence and social skills that will help them to access the next step of their education and then the adult world. I spend the first session getting to know my students and establishing how I can best support them to achieve their goals. I set small and measurable targets in agreement with the pupil and their parents/carer so that all involved can see progress and be involved in setting next steps.
Personally, I have a lust for life: I enjoy the outdoors and live music. I read widely and am fairly good at cooking. I believe that a teacher is never a finished article and strive to continually improve my practice. I look forward to meeting and working with you child.
